Sunday Service - Paradigm Shift

This past week, there was an inauguration of a new president, which impacts not only our country but our entire world. We could say it is the anomaly, the unprecedented situation, which causes crisis in the midst of a paradigm shift. The paradigm, which is a world view or vision, began with our new country’s intention to achieve a democratic society.

There may be ups and downs along the way, but when the crisis occurs, there can be push- back and even revolution. In such a shift, there is a phenomenon that awakens us to new questions, and a growing awareness that something is amiss in one’s worldview as we begin to move into the shift. This can produce a breakthrough. We let go of an old belief, an old mind-set that is limiting, and we see what seems impossible. In fact, to achieve some of the peace and harmony we long for, we have to give up some of our deeply entrenched beliefs.

In a paradigm shift, there is crisis or breakdown, and we can each ask ourselves personally, “What is out of date in my life, in my thinking? Where am I holding on too tightly? Where is there breakdown so there can be breakthrough?” This breakdown or upheaval applies individually and collectively.

We are creating a global culture, and it is no small task for each one of us alive in the world today. An election that impacts all of us is also symbolic of so much more than a new president, new senators, and new policies. Technology and a critical mass in consciousness are also forcing us to create new relevant systems wherever we turn. Medicine, Religion, Politics, Education, Business, and Science, must all be redefined to stay relevant in the world. And yet, it seems that everything is moving in the wrong direction at this time.

Can we develop the consciousness that will allow us to use our powers with wisdom? It is the new paradigm that comes from inner awakening that will be the determining factor.    We must stand up for Truth, amidst untruth and propaganda. We must even be willing to fight for our rights, our freedom. And we must find a balance between the stress and worry, and our own inner peace and balance.

Let us see the breakdown in our own lives and the country, as preparation for breakthrough. Let us hold the higher vision and trust that God has a plan. And let us envision collective consciousness making a difference. God bless us all!

Love and blessings,
